Maybe Too Late for a Mother’s Day Gift But..

Thinking about a mother’s day gift maybe too late but personalized mothers day rings are nice.  Why did I not come across these ones before? It would be a great gift idea suggestion for friends!

Birthstone rings will be very much appreciated, I believe.  Personally, to have a ring with an emerald stone (which is my birthstone)  on it would be lovely!  There are even rings that are especially made for moms like that Forever Mom ring I saw.

I know, I know it’s kinda late.  But you can have it for Father’s day, too?  Don’t you think?

Photohunt: Bags

Skipped last week’s chance to participate in Photohunt. Today’s theme is BAGS. The first bag was a gift by my children. The second gift was a gift to Kay for her debut. She’d let me use this bag a couple of times.

The bags above do not cost even an eighth of an original Louis Vuitton bag. I was reminded of this because I heard of a bid in DZMM’s Aksyon Ngayon for a Louis Vuitton bag by a known actress. The project is for a cause. The radio show aims to accumulate enough money to rescue women OFWs in Middle East countries. The bag originally cost more than fifty thousand pesos. That’s a lot of money to me.

Do you own a very expensive bag?

Photohunt: Utensils

Isn’t it quite obvious that Photohunt‘s theme brought to mind eating? 😀 That’s right, people. These are some of those fascinating eating utensils in restaurants. It has become a habit to me that when I go to restaurants and eating places, I always check out the utensils. I go for the stainless. I don’t know why I am so fascinated with them. Well, maybe because they look clean.

A Laundry Bag for a Gift?

Here in the Philippines, you will seldom see people line up in laundry shops to have their dirty clothes and linens washed for a fee. It is because Filipinos are by nature frugal that they will wash the clothes and the linens themselves. That way they can save.

But as I walked one day along the road, I noticed that the laundry shops here in our community are increasing. Also, I see laundry shops in queer shop names in other parts of the city. These maybe because Filipinos nowadays are becoming more busy with work than before. And doing the laundry by themselves may not be the option.

And because Christmas will only be a few months time from now, there is a gift idea for today’s working class. One can give a laundry bag as a gift for Christmas to one or any of those working class people. It is by far a unique fun gift that I find interesting. Here’s why:

  • they come in different exciting colors
  • they come in different sizes
  • they blend with the fad
  • they make the effort of bringing laundry easy
  • they make it convenient for anyone to haul laundry items

I am definitely fascinated by this gift idea. This laundry bag can also serve other purposes other than contain laundry items. Who knows one day you’ll think of eloping and the bag will serve the purpose best? This is not an advice for the teens – I have to be clear about it. 😀

A Unique Mother’s Day Gift

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL THE MOTHERS IN THE WORLD!

Today, I started my day spin drying. I woke up late because I went to bed late. Do not ask why. For the many reasons, one of them I have to say is a superb pre-mother’s day gift ha ha, the rest is all about performing the tasks this crazy world had assigned to all mothers.

Anyway, to continue. We did not plan of going out because Nanay commanded that Papsie has to cook paksiw na lechon* – the main delicacy for the occasion. Of course, there is no point defying, and that would be a futile thing to do. So, Papsie abided while I do the chores.

Daughter Kay suddenly left because she is going to buy some materials for what I do not know. When she left, I discovered that the floor was not even swept. That left me ranting, telling Son Daryl that it really does not matter if I wake up late early or late. It would still be me doing these menial chores!

Daughter Kay called up from nowhere and told his brother that she was invited (by her special friend) to lunch. That left me ranting again why she decided not to have lunch with us. Then after half an hour she came (with her special friend) greeting me a mother’s day with the Philippine Daily Inquirer page. The page has her illustration for a Mother’s Day ad for a renowned fast food chain. Who would not feel proud? She may not be receiving that much as the illustrator (she is just a trainee) but for her work to be acknowledged and adopted for the occasion is elating for a parent. And for her to give the newspaper page and the drafts is truly a unique gift for Mother’s day.

A kiss from Daryl is enough for now, if you will ask ha ha
