Discoveries

How interesting…

  1. Give a dose of their own poison. Funny how these people react to their own ill doings clinged off at them. They are so desperate and furious to make one feel miserable but to make them feel that their actions are futile is one charming game plan. πŸ˜€
  2. Silence is mostly a ‘no’. It is largely a ‘no’. Many times, it is refusal, denial, or rejection.
  3. There is hope for Daryl. Actually, I have not lost hope for Daryl that one day he would find veggies palatable, too. Now, there is an alternative for his fiber intake – fruit cocktail and cream, which he voraciously eats.
  4. Katherine Heigl is not Charlize Theron. Common physical attributes can confuse. But I am more a Charlize fanatic. Who is more beautiful depends on the eyes of the beholder of course.
  5. How fascinating to play with words. Seneca has this to say – “It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.” It is in learning that we learn.
  6. I can do so much with my temper. I can measure the limit. I can do something while being annoyed or angry. I CAN control it and produce better results when it dissipates.

  1. Silence is mostly a β€˜no’ – Sometimes its really hard to say NO directly. I guess its part of our culture. We even say at times, “We'll see” or other vague answers instead of refusing it immediately. I read somewhere that we do it because we don't want the people we are talking with to lose face.

On Charlize and Katherine, they do look quite the same at some angles but when I look at Charlize, I think “serious” and when I see Katherine I think more of “weird and funny” like the character of Phoebe in Friends.

  2. hi, nika. very nice observations… πŸ™‚ and you are probably right. most Filipinos cannot directly say 'no' in fear that they will offend the person they're talking to.

ha ha cunning! Charlize – serious; Katherine – weird and funny. πŸ™‚

very beautiful and talented women i say, luchie.

  3. Of course Charlize Theron is prettier than Katherine Heigl but I kinda got hooked to her after watching Grey's. She isn't that bad. After all, we are unique and have our own specialties.

  4. From my own experiences, I find anger very counterproductive so I always try to make sure I am calm when doing something. I've done things in anger that I ended up regretting.

  5. silence = rejection. sometimes plain words could be extremely painful that we resort to doing the lesser evil, we use silence 😦

as for katherine heigl, i so so so love love love her! her portrayal in greys anatomy is simply breathtaking! πŸ™‚ shes really good, and nice, and pretty πŸ™‚ truly deserving of her recent emmy win. πŸ™‚ hehehe

as for daryl, gelatin, yup the plain gelatin, was said to be rich in fiber. you could try that as a substitute bingskee. πŸ™‚

ps. do you know that there is no medical equivalence of the tagalog term pasma? 😦

  6. Hello Bingskee thank you for finding time to visit me, much appreciated !

I've been a fan of American series and Grey's Anatomy is one of them ! Very touching, funny, and they act like very spontaneously ! Magaling silang lahat don ! You should watch it :)!

Permit me my two cents , if you want Daryl to eat vegetables you can make a soup out of it ! I did it with my kids and they like it very much !

I used to mix veggies like carrots, leeks, potatoes, squash! You could either steam them, or sauter them using good olive oil ! Don' forget to add some garlic and onion, then put a little amount of water for boiling, check if the veggies are well cooked. Put the cooked veggies into mixer ! Add salt and pepper and serve hot ! If you like herbs you could also add like persil etc !

    I hope this would help ! Have a nice day πŸ™‚ !

  7. hi, mcrey. seneca is not even a word. πŸ˜€ he is a roman playwright. and as to the question, if there is a foreign word that sounds like it and dubbed in English, couldnt answer – plain 'i don't know'.

  8. ei, ruff! i have this to say that whenever people become nasty and say hurtful words – 'why don't you just slap me than hit me with those words?' πŸ˜€

think i have to start watching grey's anatomy then.

    gelatin! daryl would love that.

talaga, wala, ruff? there are tagalog words talaga na walang English equivalent, 'no?

    defensive ba ang dating, mon?
